It's simply not enough to brew a beer with at least 18.5% original gravity to call it a Doppelbock. For the coveted "-ator" suffix, it—the Doppelbock—must also be dark. Those are the rules. With our Ator, we go a step further: a two-week fermentation process and eight weeks of lagering make it particularly smooth and well-rounded. We brewed this innovative beer to unite the two churches that are our neighbors in Giesing. Because whether Catholic or Protestant—we believe that beer can bring people closer together.
